The Most Fun Summer Camp In Orange County!

Camp is Awesome
The best camp ever is something we are referred to all the time! Part of the reason why campers come back year after year and tell friends about us is that we like to have fun and let the kids be kids. Sure we have rules and stuff… but for the most part, we just like to hang loose and enjoy the summer. Campers enjoy the cool pool, digging in the mud, building things, cooking stuff, exploring, hunting for creepy crawly things, and hanging out with their friends.
The animals also help make this camp a special place. Holding and spending time with the animals is a good way for campers to get in touch with nature. They learn how to respect animals, care for them, and be responsible for something other than themselves. Animals can teach us so much.
Guided Zoo Tour
This week Summer Camp Orange County visited OC Zoo & Nature Center in the City of Orange with a guided zoo tour. Campers had a blast.
Kids took notes and here are all the animals they spotted: black bears, mountain lions, bald eagles, island foxes, ocelot, red-tailed hawk, great horned owls, porcupine, coyotes, turkey vultures, coati, goats, Cheviot sheep, sheep, pigs, doves, and pheasants.

Making a Splash

Wonderful water week at Summer Camp Orange County began with a splash! Campers spent a lot of time in the pool diving for rings and taking swim lessons. Some even had their own swim races!
Water War Part One: the girls and boys battled it out with squirt guns and water balloons. The battle ended with a tie! We will have to wait for Water War Part Two to see who the Summer Camp Orange County champs will be.
Finally, this week Summer Camp Orange County kids started to play with our unusual camper….SPOCK the PIG! He lives in his own house and the campers have already started giving him the royal treatment! He’s sooo cute!
